The SLAM! headed over to the Tri Cities for the weekend and playing 6 pool games against teams from around the Pacific Northwest. The SLAM! came away with 5 victories and one tie. The lone tie was against the Idaho X-plosion. The SLAM! threw 2 no hitters and the girls hit 3 balls over the fence. Overall, the hitting was probably the most impressive aspect of the weekend as the girls were spraying line drives all around the field.
Next up for the SLAM! is the Sidewinder invite. Let’s hope for good weather! ( Highlights and Photos coming soon )…

SLAM! Pitcher, Courtney Schwan is in the news with a nice writeup by the Tacoma News Tribune. She threw a no hitter yesterday against Gig Harbor.

Bellarmine primes fresh, fast, fabulous phenom
The secret is out on Bellarmine Prep pitcher Courtney Schwan. Lions fastpitch coach Craig Coovert had hoped his team could go unnoticed through at least the first half of the regular season. No such luck.

SLAM! goes 3-2 at Valley Ridge…

Last weekend, the SLAM! played the Valley Ridge ASA tournament. Our pitching was ON but are bats were a little quieter than we’d like to see.

Tryouts finished for our 9th graders and all of the SLAM! high schoolers made Varsity!

We have several 9th graders that live in 3-year high school districts, so they aren’t eligible for Varsity this year, but no doubt, they’d have made it too! Congratulations, girls.
