SLAM! goes 4-2 against California at Western Nationals…

Full highlights — SLAM! -vs- Grapettes.  SLAM! -vs- San Jose Lady Sharks SLAM! -vs- California Desperados

The SLAM! battled the heat and the competition and competed to the last out down in Roseville.  I am very proud of the girls and the way they played.  I think we all created memories for a lifetime down there, but it is nice to be back down in SUNNY Washington.

SLAM! Wins July 16/17 ASA Metro Tournament!

The SLAM! went 4-0 in the sticky, sticky mud to win the ASA Combat #4 tourney this past weekend.  The first game featured the SLAM! versus Sudden Impact.  It was a tremendous pitcher’s due with the SLAM! and the Sudden Impact knotted up at 0-0 through 7 innings.  In the international tiebreaker inning, the SLAM! offense opened up and put a 5 spot on the board.  Maddie pitched all 8 scoreless innings in the victory.

In the 2nd game, Dana took the mound and went all the way to shut out the Stealth 8-0.  The bats were alive all the way through the lineup.

In the 3rd game, Nicole took the mound and the SLAM! prevailed 16-1 versus the Lady Bombers to notch a 3-0 record in pool play.

In the title game, the SLAM! took on the stout Bellevue Blast 96 team.  Maddie once again got the rock and the SLAM!’s excellent hitting continued with key hits by Nick, Faith, Tris, Dana and Kylie to power the SLAM! to a 7-3 victory.

The SLAM! will now finish up their season in Sunny Sacramento with the ASA Western National Championship in hopefully SUMMER WEATHER!
