SLAM! wins two, makes preparations to play 14s this weekend…

What a great night. The SLAM! used their trademark “Small Ball” to beat the Squad 6-0 and then followed up with some fun with the Thunder. It is great to see the improvement for the girls. We had Nicole throwing BBs last night in game 1 and Maddie pitching a dominating performance in game 2.
This weekend, the SLAM! takes on a new challenge — playing a 14U tournament. The girls are ready and if there’s one thing that will improve our outfield play, it’s playing teams that will HIT THE BALL to the outfield. I look forward to another great, sunny weekend and watching our SLAM! girls step up to the challenge and grow a bit.
But back to last night — speaking of growing and improving…how about Zella?!?! She had some quality at bats versus the Squad and then in game 2, hit the ball extremely well. It was a blast seeing her don the gear and play a couple innings at catcher. She had some serious SPUNK back there and did a great job. In her last at bat of the evening, she jacked a ball over the right fielder.
Are we having fun yet, SLAM! Pack?!?!? I sure am…
